Quick rundown becaue we're at LemonLime (Thanks Polly for the best status ever!)

Got God to rest finally. Go Rosie. We bonded. It was good. I think we might've finally got an understanding.

Now if He'll just stop falling asleep on me, all will be great. Okay, I don't really mind at all.

Need to teach Markham how to be interesting next time I relegate him to son-sitting.

Seeing Ford's defense plans, I think he may have some secret genius or something. I'm totally delegating that to him from now on.

Have to hand-pick some guys to help not-sister Dawnie rescue my not-neice Lizzie at some point in the near future. Ten, plus Ford and I should work.

Still not feeling a hundred percent. But jammie day did some good. Thanks Rosie.

Now if I can just keep the stress down for a few days I should be able to not get sick.

Note to all: I'm still not dead. Things are going well. Wraith eating animals are the best invention ever.

Hm...Do I have time? Yes. I think I do. A poem, a poem, my kingdom for a poem....

My Sweetheart

So often when I am embracing you,
It seems that you exist in this world
only because of me and I exist because of you.

It's not easy to wander in this world
and not lose one's way,
but the greatest happiness of all
is in giving joy to one's beloved.

And if the king can have his throne,
and if the bird can have his Spring nest,
and God can have his heaven,
then I, my sweetheart, I can have you!

- Jonathan Townsend -

A little possessive for my tastes, but it's the best I can come up with right now with all the radio chatter in my ear.

What the hell, poem for otherJon too.

Friendship is like the breeze,
You can't hold it,
Smell it,
Taste it,
Or know when it's coming,
But you can always feel it,
And you'll always know it's there,
It may come and then go,
But you can know it'll always be back.

- Terri Fanning -

No poem for Polly! Have a quote instead. Someone told me this today and I thought it was funny.

"A woman drove me to drink and I didn't even have the decency to thank her."

Ah, W. C. Fields. One of the funniest smeggers to come down the pike. *does a terrible impression* "Water? Fish fuck in water!" *grin*

Keep us posted when Status: LemonLime trundles back down into regular old Green.

Yes, our son is very lucky one of us has some parenting skills.
14th-Jul-2005 09:08 pm (UTC)
Yes. He is.
14th-Jul-2005 09:11 pm (UTC)
Don't offer him noisy, stimulating things to do when he should be resting anymore, please?
14th-Jul-2005 09:14 pm (UTC)
Puddle jumpers aren't noisy. And I still hold that pushing a button to blow up Wraith is better than using his Godpowers if he's going to do it anyway.

Sometimes being a good parent means saying no, John.
14th-Jul-2005 09:37 pm (UTC)
And sometimes it means saying yes. But I never claimed to be suited to being anyone's parent.
14th-Jul-2005 09:40 pm (UTC)
Oh, yes, I've been a real tyrant of a mother, haven't I?
14th-Jul-2005 09:43 pm (UTC)
What? No! I didn't mean it like that at all.
14th-Jul-2005 10:58 pm (UTC)
Yes. Please teach him to be interesting. Or assign Radek to me-sitting. Because Markham is so boring, Dad.

14th-Jul-2005 10:59 pm (UTC)
No. You get stuck with Markham forever.

Teach him to juggle or something.
14th-Jul-2005 11:04 pm (UTC)
So. Boring.
14th-Jul-2005 11:06 pm (UTC)
Too. Bad.

I'd offer you Bates instead, but he's more boring.
14th-Jul-2005 11:07 pm (UTC)
Can I at least have Peter as well as Markham?
14th-Jul-2005 11:08 pm (UTC)
...*shrugs* Okay. I guess that can't hurt.
14th-Jul-2005 11:08 pm (UTC)
*gleeful* Thank you!
14th-Jul-2005 11:10 pm (UTC)
*grins* Sure. Just don't break them.
14th-Jul-2005 11:10 pm (UTC)
I won't!
14th-Jul-2005 11:12 pm (UTC)
*grins* Good boy.
14th-Jul-2005 11:13 pm (UTC)
*smiles, happily* Waffle corn?
14th-Jul-2005 11:14 pm (UTC)
*laugh* Sure.
14th-Jul-2005 11:24 pm (UTC)
*hands you a bowl*
14th-Jul-2005 11:26 pm (UTC)
Thank you. *smiles*
